I’ve been pretty busy this week writing reports and working on new resources so I’ve not done a lot of blog reading. So here is my 2 favourite posts of the past week from the blogs I follow:

1. Yeah, You’ve Got Problems. So Solve Them. A blog post about answering the questions about ‘not having enough time’, ‘not have the technology’ etc. From weblogg-ed.

2. Are Wiki’s Dying? An interesting post about the future of wiki’s. From The Thinking Stick.

Have a great week!

MeeGenius! is a site that has a range of kids books online. You can read them online of have them read to you. You can personalize them and share them with others.

This could be a great resource for teaching reading – especially at a distance.

Some of the titles include:

The Princess and the Pea
The Tale of Tom Kitten
The Three Little Pigs
The Ugly Duckling

If you’re a teacher of reading – check it out.

4. MeeGenius – Online books for kids to read and personalize. From iLearn Technology.

Well I was thinking of heading to Google Docs for this post, and I will, but I’m not going to post much as a good blog post was recently made. It outlines new sharing and editing options in it.

So next time I’ll start to go into detail about Google Docs, but for now – have a look at this post from Free Technology for Teachers to see if you want to explore it further.

I will say this now – Google Docs has great potential for education, collaboration etc.

You know, this is going to sound really obvious – but we need to make learning fun!

Have a look at this Volkswagen ad and think about the learning we get our students to do. Is it enjoyable? Are we presenting it in a unique, interesting way that would compel them to learn? Is there a purpose to learning?
